A New Year, A New Perspective

My agenda for today: search and destroy. That’s right, I am getting rid of the clutter that has taken a year to build up in my office. I have piles of stuff I thought was important enough to save. The reality: what’s scattered around hasn’t been touched for months. It’s outta here.

What I’ve learned so far: good intentions have an expiration date. A short one. Cluttered areas are really stories about what I’m gonna do “someday”. Guess what? Someday never got here. And it never will.

The promise I’ve made to myself for 2014: get clear on my intentions. Either do something or don’t. The sooner I clear stuff away, the faster I can move.

What are you throwing away today? What are you letting go of to make 2014 your best year yet? Piles of stories in your head count as clutter, too.
