Can Your Expertise Be Personalized?

When Marcus Buckingham speaks, I listen.  So when I found this report from Harvard’s Business School, I was intrigued by his question:  in the age of everything personalized, can leadership development be both scalable and personalized?

According to him, yes.  And…it will require a lot more intellectual elbow grease than many of the thought leaders put out there.

Yes, this report ties into this belief that we perform to our strengths.  Look past his recommendations and you’ll see a huge trend growing in leadership/high potential.  His examples show what the big companies are doing.  And that the days of one-formula-fits-all are over.  If we are going to compete, we have to stop putting old solutions into new rhetoric.  Thought leaders that transcend the low-cost options will have to create a body of work that is rigorous enough to meet these (much) higher expectations.

And in this report, Mr. Buckingham shows us a great framework to do just that.  Click here and take copious notes.
