Don’t Be Stinky

How much time do you spend on something silly and when it’s over you think to yourself, “why did I just do that?”. Yep, this time waster creeps up on the best of us. Where I get tricked: online discussion groups.

Former C-suiter turned executive coach, Chris Ruisi calls the game on dumb discussions with this post “How to Avoid the Big Stink”. My favorite part: by engaging the skunk you are validating their position. The result: everyone else is watching you get sprayed with stinky stuff and wondering why you were so silly to engage them in the first place.

You better believe this is going on my list of resolutions. And to explore what’s in it for me by engaging these idiots in the first place.
