From Tools to Decisions
Got on a rant about relevance the other day. Buyers are using that word a lot to select thought leaders. What they really want: to use our brilliance in a practical day-to-day way. The problem: how do you balance that need for the practical without being branded as a mere collector of tactics?
Here’s an idea to solve this problem: turn your insights into a tool for decision making. Think about it. Instead of presenting benchmarks and hope people use them to decide, create a flow chart that helps buyers make a real decision. Let them see their options and empower them to choose their path. Not only will you be seen as handy, but this tool will get passed around far more quickly than the typical white paper or video.
And the bonus: flowcharts are easier to create than standard infographcis. Here’s my favorite example.
