Running Into Danger

Last month we saw not one, but two fire-breathing tragedies strike the U.S.  One was in the midst of a huge crowd in Boston.  As if that wasn’t enough, another explosion in the plains of Texas took out a good part of the town, including the local nursing home.

While the settings couldn’t be more different, one dynamic was the same:  there were folks who ran towards the disaster instead of away from it.  Our first responders showed up fast and ready for anything.  And willing to die to help those who needed it the most.

And…this is normal for our military.  These folks live in day-to-day danger, knowing full well that they could die at any moment.  That’s why I am continuing my Memorial Day tradition of contributing to Wounded Warrior.  I figure if our finest are lucky enough to come home, the least we can do is make the hard transition easier.

Hope you will join me.  Here’s the link.
