Sell Your Books In Bulk

Is your book a calling card for more professional service relationships?  If so, then bulk sales might be a good door opener for a more lucrative relationship.  This interesting article on these deals by Penny Sansevieri is a good first step.  Her best advice:  there are several ways books are used by bulk buyers, so one pitch doesn’t fit all.  She also gives a good 30,000-foot overview of the process.

For authors who are not well-known, bulk sales can raise their profile where it counts:  prospects who don’t know how great you are.  And here’s an idea she didn’t list:  your book can be “sponsored” by associations who want a goodie bag for new members or convention attendees.  Be aware that discounts are hefty.  Penny quotes between 50-70%.  Here’s the article to check out her ideas yourself.

Many thanks to Sandra Wilson who passed this article along on SpeakerNet News.
