The Best Gift Of All
Back home in Oklahoma for the holidays. My sister-in-law is the Martha Stewart of the family, so the house is decked out to the max. I will probably gain ten pounds from her great cooking. The gym will be waiting when I return.
As I look back on holidays past, the best gifts are not under the tree. It’s the gift of sitting out on the back patio with coffee. Of teasing (and being teased) with stories of past adventures. Of silently loving your family and friends.
At some point, we all have enough stuff. I am at that stage. What I want now are moments. Laughter. That look of love on someone’s face.
Have a fabulous holiday season wherever you are, whatever you do. Capture those moments.
