Top Social Media Trends

Yes, I’ve been on LinkedIn, Twitter and Facebook for years now, but still consider myself a newbie. ¬†Perhaps that’s why this article from Entrepreneur about the top social media trends for business caught my eye.

My favorite finding is #3: integration of SEO, social media and content creation. Most thought leaders implement their brand by churning out more and more content. The problem: all we do on social media is blast out those blogs. (OK, guilty as charged. But I’ll change soon — I promise!) Perhaps it’s time that we demonstrate our thought leadership in a more one-on-one way.

A good next step: Based on changes with Facebook and Google, what do I have to do differently? Get on Google+? Change what I do on Facebook? I think looking at all three as a part of one system will create changes I haven’t thought of. And yes, I am getting outside help to figure all this out. ¬†Stay tuned…
