The Power of Walking Away

After going through a tough morning recently, I did something I rarely do: I checked out. As in, I ran away from my life to curate my own film festival from my sofa. It was a wonderful afternoon.
What I didn’t expect was the power of walking away to show up the way it did.
Somewhere between the second movie and the snacks, something shifted. I came up with three solutions to top priorities—problems I had procrastinated on for two weeks because I didn’t know how to proceed. Talk about time well spent.
So, the next time you’re struggling with running a business (or adulting in general), here’s my suggestion: walk away. Do something unproductive. You’ll be surprised how much you actually get done.
