Let’s Share Our Blessings
It’s that time of year again. We launch into summer with a long weekend of fun in the (100 degree plus in Phoenix) sun. I’m so happy I’m at the beach right now.
Staring out at the ocean is one of my favorite things to do. I am reminded constantly that: 1) any problems I have pale in comparison to many others less fortunate; and, 2) there are a lot of folks who sacrifice much more than me.
Take veterans for example. They put their lives on hold and serve our country. Some come back OK. But many others return as a very different person then they went in as. Their experience and service changes their lives forever.
That’s why I celebrate Memorial Day with a contribution to Wounded Warriors. I feel good sharing what I have with folks who helped me live in a country that is filled with opportunities. Who gave a lot so I can succeed. Figure that’s only fair.
