Christmas 2020: The Best Gift of All
Christmas Eve 2020. No travel this year, so we’ll send our best wishes over the phone and Facetime. (Yeah, I know. Old school.)
My husband has indulged me over the years with fabulous Christmas gifts. The best gift I’m getting this year has been ongoing since COVID-19 hit this country: quality time. Having to stay home during the pandemic has resulted in plenty of one-on-one conversations, without all the usual distractions. We have time to really connect.
In this quiet space, I count all my blessings. I see all the love that surrounds me. What I’ve come to realize: We are all angels unaware. We are here to care for and serve one another. And that is the best gift we can give.
So, merry Christmas and happy holidays to all of you who have blessed me with your presence. I hope our paths continue to cross in so many wonderful ways. You have enriched my life in ways I can never adequately explain. May your life be the result of all the blessings you bestow on others.
