Let’s drill down on the study. Two places that point the way to more opportunities:

• Areas of improvement. What gets defined as a problem usually has funding to solve it. In this study, it’s all about reaching the customer. Apply your work to these outcomes in a credible way and you’ll get a fair hearing.

• What success looks like. Note the emphasis on the customer: acquisition, profitability, satisfaction, and retention. It’s very broad. This means a wide variety of expertise can create value.
