A New Backdoor to More Speaking Engagements

LinkedIn is playing matchmaker between brands and influencers, according to a recent Social Media Today article. Its new Top Voices 360 program connects brands with select creators for sponsored content and other partnership opportunities.
This could be good news for professional speakers, too, leading to more opportunities for you to get paid to speak.
While the program is aimed at creating advertising opportunities for content creators, LinkedIn’s program could open the door to broader partnerships, including speaking opportunities. Key quote from the article: “Advertisers start with an exclusive editorial show (supported by BrandLink ads) and can extend that sponsorship across other activities, like co-branded posts, industry event appearances, and more.” (Emphasis mine.)
I know, including ads with your content might feel like you’re diluting your brand. But your buyers are already used to seeing ads on YouTube videos. Would they really mind seeing them on another platform?
We already know that having a strong following plays a key role in whether you get paid to speak. This could be another way to monetize what you’re already doing. As organizers gear up for 2027 speaker selections, this possibility could give you the inside track.
