Back in February, I wrote a blog post that took a broad swipe at the trends in the State of B2B Thought Leadership 2026 report by TopRank Marketing and Ascend2. I want to return to this study to highlight a cool opportunity that many thought leaders miss, especially when it comes to B2B influencer partnerships.

Check out the findings about the role influencers play in spreading the word. A whopping 72% who frequently use these folks report the effort as very effective, compared to the 29% who don’t use them.

Corporate America sees these collaborations as amplification tools and will invest in experts who have credibility with new audiences. This is good news for those of us whose reputations can open those doors.

Will these buyers invest in B2B influencer partnerships? Not all of them. But thought leaders with the right brand can leverage this interest and raise awareness through brand ambassadorships, speaking tours, or social media campaigns. These buyers’ urgency to disseminate their content can become a lucrative opportunity for you.
