What I love about this time of year: all of the trend studies out there. But after a while, even new developments can get lost in the shuffle. One way to break through: Focus on what folks need.

Here’s a great example: Red Website Design’s list of five rising social media platforms for 2020, which includes TiKTok, Lasso, Vero, Steemit, and Caffeine.

Let’s move past the topic, though, and look at the focus. Instead of merely listing the developments, the authors went the “handy” route with this list of “who” is doing them. This approach is the best of both worlds: It takes advantage of raging attention of social media and it stands out from all the regular “what’s gonna happen” posts.

You copy this strategy by focusing on the players of the future. A couple of ideas:

Top 3 people needed in every network
