With the world now filled with content, the pros have gotten creative. Google is among them. The tech giant is partnering with Range Media to begin developing microdramas.

Microdramas are bite-sized video stories that have cliffhangers that promote the next “episode.” The companies’ initiative, called 100 Zeros, already has several scripted and non-scripted projects planned. The content will be released across multiple platforms, including the Google TV mobile app on Android phones.

This type of content is picking up momentum, with Disney+ also announcing its own “vertical video functionality called ‘Verts.’”

This might sound like something only large companies can do, but not so. Microdramas are “the next frontier,” with content creators also being able to distribute and monetize their own microdrama content on the Google TV app.

These types of videos are especially effective for B2B thought leaders, whether they run on the Google app or not. First, the short-form video appeals to folks who have short attention spans. Second, these videos create an on-the-ground experience that compels viewers.

Many B2B organizations use gamification and real-world projects in training, so microdramas aren’t much of a stretch. By serializing your insights in these types of videos, buyers can imagine your impact without the risk of hiring you. They bring your recommendations to life.

Your followers and customers want meaningful experiences like these compelling short-form videos. When you create them, you drive community building and engagement. This format is one to watch.
